THE Launceston covers band ‘Feedback’ will be holding a ten-year celebration at Strawberry Fields, Lifton, on Saturday, June 17 — with all proceeds going to charity.

The band formed back in late 2006 and played their first gig in June 2007 at the Eagle House for a birthday party.

Feedback (pictured right) began as a four-piece band, but soon drafted in others to make the band a stronger unit. They soon gained a good local reputation and the gigs never stopped coming in.

They now travel the South West playing at festivals, weddings, birthdays and pubs etc. They are now a solid six-piece band and are really close.

Feedback perform covers from the 70s right up to the modern day. All members of the band are local to Launceston.

Members include Andrew Hosking with lead vocals, Steve Gist plays lead guitar, Pamy Gynn is backing and lead vocalist, Jon Farr plays bass, Stew Gynn on guitar and lead vocals and Mike Gilbert on drums. They are joined by sound engineer Martin Gist.

The ten-year celebration at the Strawberry Fields, Lifton will begin at 7.30pm All proceeds made will be split between two charities — Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Drummer Mike said: “Local boys ‘The Lifton Bikers’, now gig rowers, support MND and we thought it seemed right to help with there fundraising as we were having it in Lifton.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased from the band on 07557 123611, Lifton Farm Shop and Country Chic and Maunders in Launceston.
