Twins Hilary Luxton of Launceston and Frances Gregory of Bude recently celebrated their 60th birthday at the Eagle House Hotel, Launceston and raised £630 for the Osteopetrosis Support Trust in lieu of presents. The money was raised because Hilary's granddaughter Phoebe Johnson is a sufferer, and was only diagnosed after breaking her ankle. Area representative Alison Gould of Minehead thanked everyone who had supported the event and Hilary and Frances for such a generous donation. Alison said that although this disease is not commonly known, the symptoms can be quite painful. Anyone who would like more information about the disease can call Alison on 01894 639416.
