AFTER 20 years Bob Price has finally hung up his wellies and sou'wester as a much valued member of the shore help team with Bude lifeboat.
Having joined the RNLI in 1992 when Bude Lifeboat Station was on the site of the lock gates and the modern station they now have was just a "glimmer of hope," Bob qualified for launching the lifeboat and driving the tractor in 1993 along with achieving his first aid certificate and radio licence.
Since 1992, Bude lifeboat has been involved in the rescue of 36 lives and Bob played an important role in many of these rescues.
