THE annual 'try diving' event with Budehaven Sub Aqua Club took place at Holsworthy Leisure Centre on Saturday, April 6.
The sub aqua club, locally known as Bude Dive Club, regularly organise a trial dive event around Easter time to allow potential new members to learn more about diving before the summer season begins.
The club was formed in 1975 and is the 715th branch to have joined the British Sub Aqua Club that started in 1953. Members are trained to dive to reef and wreck sites at a maximum of 50 metres, but divers of all capabilities are welcomed.
The 'try diving' event was again popular this year, with eight new participants trying on the scuba gear and submerging into Holsworthy pool.
