IT HAS been a busy start to the festive season for Camelford Town Band. Band members have travelled far and wide to entertain the public, even across the border to Killerton House, National Trust Exeter.

A beautiful evening was had at the switch on of the Camelford lights. Carols have been heard from the band at Boscastle Farm Shop with some merry sing-a-longs and the shoppers of Mole Valley were kept entertained into the evening.

The band always enjoys a Christmas social with a meal at Bowood. It is during this meal that the annual trophies are awarded. The winners this year were band’s player of the year, Charlotte Goatman, as voted for by the playing members. The learner of the year was won by Faith Robinson. Band’s man of the year went to Mark Baker and the section of the year was awarded to the tenor horns.

The band still has a busy few weeks ahead, so pop out to see them. All engagements can be found on their Facebook page.
