Thanks to the generosity of local shoppers, Jackie Hannaford of Kilkhampton and her group of helpers have been able to send out 527 boxes of goodies to troops in Afghanistan. Jackie said: "It went extremely well again. As usual I was still amazed at how much people gave." Jackie held collections at the Co-op and Morrisons in Bude. She wished to thank the staff at the supermarkets, as well as all her helpers, the staff at Bude Post Office and DS Smith Packaging, Launceston for once again providing the boxes. She said: "Everyone's been marvellous." Jackie will now be taking a well earned rest before preparing for the Christmas 'treats for troops' collection.
