YOUNG people from Duchy College Stoke Climsland and other schools from across the Cornwall College group, have had an ‘amazing time’ on a trip to London, where they discovered where future careers could take them.
Students studying all manner of subjects took in West End shows, had a bird’s eye view of the capital on the Coca-Cola London Eye, and had the chance to explore the Natural History Museum.
Other highlights included a night at the Apollo Theatre to watch Wicked and ice skating in Hyde Park, but for the majority of animal management students, the pinnacle of the trip was a visit to London Zoo, which boasts more than 750 awe-inspiring species and cutting-edge exhibits.
Course co-ordinator, Kerry Stanyard, said: “Cornwall offers so many specialist courses for young people, where they can turn their passions into their careers. By providing small class sizes, expert tuition with lecturers who have strong industry links, and a friendly, positive environment, our students really excel and enter the working world as highly employable individuals.”
