THE annual D-Day service was held again this year at Davidstow, incorporating the 70th anniversary of the opening of the airfield.

The event was held in the Old Davidstow Hall, which used to be the gymnasium, because of the dreadful weather.

There was an excellent attendance, despite the bad weather. Grace Connolly, daughter of Helen, placed a wreath on the memorial at the entrance to the site despite the heavy rain.
