THE Rotary Club of Bude presents the Eric Chadd Award each year to people who have served the local community voluntarily over a lengthy period.
It is in memory of a past mayor and active Rotarian in Bude, and is in the form of a silver salver with an engraved miniature replica for keeping.
This year it was presented to Edith and Henry Vanstone, who have been organising a Meet and Eat event every fortnight in the Methodist Halls of, originally, Flexbury, and more recently, in Bude Central.
