Carly Martin of Titson, near Marhamchurch was the proud winner of Trethorne's competition to name their recently born pygmy goat. After receiving plenty of interest from readers of the 'Post' and visitors to Trethorne Leisure Park, staff whittled the suggestions down to just one – Kimbo. Wendy Davey, Manager at Trethorne, said: We are delighted with the response to the competition. I have to say a big thank you to all who took the time to contribute their suggestions. We feel the name Kimbo really suits her bubbly personality and are so pleased with the outcome of the competition." Carly, 22, who works at Performance Car Suppliers in Launceston, was equally happy with the result: "I am really happy to have Kimbo as the winning name. It came as a surprise to hear my choice had won but the name really does suit her." Carly became aware of the contest when she saw it publicised in a copy of the 'Post'. As well as having her suggestion chosen, Carly also received free tickets to a day at Trethorne – a gift she was grateful to accept. "The tickets are a really fantastic prize and I'll be back to spend some time with Kimbo very soon."
