The June meeting of the Lower Landsker Trefoil Guild began with the presentation of a cheque to Elizabeth Sleight for Harriet's House. The money was part of that raised at the 'A Life in Art' exhibition of president Doreen Hammersley's work held in February, so it was fitting that Doreen actually made the presentation. Many years ago Girlguiding Tenby presented the first Harriet's House with a kitchen table and we have been proud to have been supporters for 21 years.
The proposed trip to Caldey on the same day had to be postponed due to rough seas, so members moved on to the Dennis Café for coffee and business, then enjoyed a breezy walk across the beach followed by a picnic on the South Beach and a lazy afternoon in the sun! We will try again for Caldey on July 1.
Five members are taking part in the Race for Life at Scolton Manor on June 21 and would welcome sponsorship from anyone who would like to support them.
New members always welcome. You don't have to have been a Guide or Brownie, just have an interest in helping the local units and having some fun along the way!
