JULY is transport month in West Devon and a roadshow is being held to deliver advice on the best way to travel around the county — calling at Lifton and Hatherleigh.
The West Devon Transport Access Group, which is supported by Devon County Council and West Devon Borough Council, has teamed up with West Devon Borough Council Connect Outreach surgeries across the region, and they are getting out and about to meet the public.
The group and Devon County Council's transport team will be on hand to answer questions and to try to solve individual's transport dilemmas during these surgeries. Local community and public transport providers have also been invited to the sessions and West Devon Borough Council's outreach workers will be answering queries on all of their services too.
Cllr Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council Cabinet Member for Highways and Transportation, said: "These surgeries are an ideal way for people in West Devon to get expert advice on transport services that they can access to help get them from A to B. There's a wide range of dates and venues to enable as many people as possible to come along. If you have a question or want to know what services are available then feel free to attend the event
closest to you."
Included in the group's schedule will be visits to The Arundell Arms, Lifton from 9.30am to 12 noon on July 1 and also July 15; Hatherleigh Market on July 7 and July 21 from 9.30am to 12 noon.
