THE Holsworthy Day Companions charity was set up to carry on from the good work previously done by the Holsworthy Day Centre.

Their purpose is to provide care and support for pensioners, carers and the bereaved.

They are very flexible and offer a variety of packages to suit everyone’s needs, including all day (with lunch), part day or hourly, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 4.30pm. Tea and coffees are also available throughout the day.

There is also a free afternoon from 2pm to 4pm for those who want to pop along and join in with any of the activities on offer.

For those who are unsure whether or not to join there is an introductory offer of three trial days £5 per visit, which includes lunch and refreshments.

For those who need it, members of Holsworthy Day Companions can be escorted on the ‘Ring and Ride’ — this can be arranged by Holsworthy Day Companions.
