They came with 150 carers from as far away as Weston-super-Mare and Newquay to a 'fun day' especially organised for them by Holsworthy Lions' Club with the support of other South-West area Lions Clubs including those from Okehampton, Bideford, Launceston, Saltash and South Molton.
Holsworthy Scouts were on hand to help the guests on and off the various rides, as well a driving the dodgems for those who weren't able to do it themselves.
The event, which apart from two years has been held in Holsworthy annually since 1992, took place at the Manor Car Park and in the Memorial Hall where Lions Club members, their wives and partners as well as the portreeve, the mayor and town crier were there to welcome visitors and ensure they had an enjoyable time.
