THE Pink Ball, held in Launceston Town Hall on Saturday, February 22, in memory of Beverley Best was a great success.

The event raised £2,900 for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) which Beverley sadly passed away from last year.

The town hall was transformed into a stunning vision of pink by Emma from the Embellishment Company.

Those attending enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Judith Scott of Something Nice catering. Coleman’s Event hire supplied the bar, photograph booth and disco and ensured that guests had a memorable evening.

The Lifton Bikers provided entertainment with their ‘true or false’ quiz round and there was a raffle that was generously supported by local businesses, the star prizes being a Luxury Cornish Escape from St Mellion Resort and a Gin Tasting for Four from the Eagle House Hotel.

The evening was organised by Shelley Vanstone and Karen Lang and the amazing sum of £2,900 was raised for Cornwall MNDA.

Shelley Vanstone who worked with Bev at the Tesco Launceston store for 25 years said: “Thanks to Cllr Dave Gordon for granting a mayor’s booking for the evening, the Embellishment Company for the amazing transformation of the hall, the local businesses for their donations and everyone that came along to support the evening — it was everything we could have wished it to be.”
