LAWSON and Janet Ham, supported by members of the Rotary Club of Launceston, have undertaken the ‘The Purple4Polio Grand Tour’ setting off from Launceston Golf Club.

Their aim was to visit as many of the numerous checkpoints, based in famous locations throughout the UK, as possible between May 21 and 24, raising both money and awareness of the Polio Plus campaign to permanently eradicate Polio.

The first checkpoint was at Powerham Castle, after which they headed off towards Brands Hatch in a Volvo convertible sponsored by local companies.

Anyone wishing to donate money can find a collection tin in the Rotary Shop.
