A SKILLFUL childhood pursuit has been taken up again by a Holsworthy man.

Tony Lillicrap is rediscovering the joys of model making and now hopes to attract fellow enthusiasts.

Tony, of Derriton, is looking to set up the model and constructors' club in Holsworthy. A committee, of which he is chairman, has spent the past two and a half years searching for suitable premises and is finally on the verge of what could be the perfect space — in a barn just outside Holsworthy.

It is hoped the 60ft by 50ft barn space will enable enthusiasts not only to run model railways, cars, aircraft and boats but also to construct and safely store the models.
