THERE was a good attendance, despite the persistent drizzle, at the service of Remembrance in Launceston on Sunday.
The town square was filled to capacity, with more than 300 marchers in the parade, including 99-year-old Jack Saltzman.
Four young people from the two secondary schools in the town took part in the service by reading the names of the fallen from World War Two.
A wreath was also laid in remembrance of Frank Gillard, whose family remember him every year at this time.
North Cornwall MP Scott Mann led the laying of more than 40 wreaths at the war memorial by the local organisations.
Launceston branch of the Royal British Legion was very pleased with the turnout and the continued support of the local community and extended its thanks to all who attended and helped in any way.
