THE STREETS of Launceston were lined with visitors and residents who turned out for the late night shopping event last Friday.

Santa on his sleigh, pulled by members of Launceston Young Farmers' Club who were dressed as reindeers, rode into town leading the procession and a special visit from internationally renowned Titan the Robot wowed the crowds.

Meanwhile, people could buy their last minute wares and even get advice or a mince-pie from some of the estate agents.

Vicky Geach, chair of Launceston Chamber of Commerce, said: "Everyone thought Titan was great and he drew the crowds. The children certainly enjoyed it."
