Every year at Tintagel on Good Friday morning there is an Ecumenical Procession of Witness involving the village's three churches — Anglican, Methodist and Catholic. It starts from the Methodist Chapel at Bossiney, proceeds to the Catholic Church, then along Bossiney Road and Fore Street to the Tintagel Methodist Chapel and ends at Trevena Square. In this year's procession, which was led by the Revs John Henry Barfoot and Bryan Storey and by Sue Ede, Glenton Brown and Brian Whitehead, participants from the three churches said prayers at each location and sang hymns related to Our Lord's Passion. The aim was to bear witness to the inhabitants and visitors to Tintagel of the momentous events which are the reason why Easter is still such an important date in the calendar.
