THE Taste of the West awards programme for food and drink products has a simple aim — to find and reward the best products in the South West.
For those who win an award, the prize is priceless. Producers who have won awards are now enjoying significant business growth.
Businesses from the Post area that won recently include Lifton Farm Shop and Deli Farm Charcuterie in Delabole.
John Sheaves, the CEO of Taste of the West, said: “These awards are the industry’s chance to not only pitch their products for an award, but also to have them professionally evaluated for their quality. Feedback is a vital part of this process, so that producers can learn from the experts and improve their products.
“It is a huge task, and we have already received many entries this year, so have capped entries at 1,200 products in total.
“We would encourage any producer, large or small, to enter as it can really help a discerning market to choose your quality product over another one, knowing that it has been independently assessed by experts, so get your entries in quickly — time is running out!”
