A THREE-MILE stretch of the A30 at Launceston is set to be closed for three nights this month to allow resurfacing work.

Launceston Town Council said it has received notification of the planned road closure of the eastbound stretch between the Tavistock Road and Lifton Down junctions.

The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 7.30pm to 6am from Monday, March 20, ending on Thursday, March 23.

The existing road surface is said to be nearing the end of its serviceable life, and patch repairs and road marking reinstatement will be carried out where necessary.

Traffic will be diverted off the A30 at the Tavistock Road junction and will follow the diversion route via Launceston, the A388 and Polson Bridge before being directed to rejoin the A30 at the Lifton Down junction. It will be fully signposted.

The works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
