ALMOST £6,000 was raised at a charity match held in memory of Wayne "Nobby" Clark.
The match between the Ex Pro's and United Longhope began with a minute's applause before the Ex Pro's won 3-1 – with Wayne's nephew Steven Clark scoring United Longhope's only goal.
Some 500 people supported the event with all the proceeds raised going to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), who scan young peoples' hearts, aged 14-35, for heart defects.
Mr Clark died suddenly at the age of 45 in March at his home from an undiagnosed heart condition.
Wayne's nephew, Robert Clark said: "The Clark family would like to thank everyone involved. The awareness raised for heart defects, is as important as the money!"
