A CHARITY masquerade ball has raised around £1,200.
Described as a ‘fabulous success’, all who attended entered into the spirit of the theme with costumes bought or hired and masks adorned.
After a three-course meal the live show was kicked off by Alex Reeve singing ‘Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again’. She was then joined by Abi Logg for a duet ‘Angel Of Music’, who then gave a beautiful rendition of ‘Music of the Night’.
Mark and Rachel who run McQueen’s Theatre School, then sang the romantic duet ‘All I ask of You’, followed by a solo sung by Rachel ‘Think of Me’.
The show was rounded of with a contemporary ballroom dance performed by Rachel and Mark. A disco followed and everyone danced into the early hours after bidding on auction lots, generously donated by Craig Chapman Hair Design, Castle View Cafe, B & N Farm Foods, Launceston Computers, Selections, Melanie Young Chimney Sweep & Vac, Hush Hair & Beauty, Robertson’s Jewellers, Banbury Beauty Spa, Devine Cakes, St Leonards Riding School, David Viggers, Buggyfit,
Threads, All Woman Beauty and Michelle Gillbard @ Forever Living. Tables were sponsored by C & D Carpeting, Launceston Lions Club, M&M Construction, Costa Coffee & McQueen’s Theatre School.
The ball helped raise money for British Heart Foundation and Square Peg Studio.
Rachel McQueen said: “The masquerade ball was a fabulous success. Around £1,200 was raised so a big thank you to everyone for their help and support!”
