'AYE Aye, Captain' and with not a little deference to Pirates of the Caribbean, Upper Tamar Lakes Sailing Club in conjunction with South West Lakes Trust held their third annual RYA Push The Boat Out Day. With more than two thirds of the sailing club members acting as volunteers and with Matt and his support crew from the Trust also in attendance, the day was a great success. Families, youngsters and everybody who visited the lake on the day were offered tasters in sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. Whilst the two main pirate boats gave families with young children 20-minute sailing tasters, for the more adventurous there were trips in slightly faster dinghies and the opportunity for a 'round the lake trip'. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
