OVER the past month, Altarnun Pre-school has been collecting empty milk bottles to make a magical igloo for the children to play in.
The igloo took just over a day and a half to build — more than 400 milk bottles were used.
The igloo will stay at the pre-school for the beginning of the new term, then the children will take it apart and use this as an opportunity to visit the recycling centre to see what happens to the bottles.
Chrissie Wakely, pre-school manager, said: “The children enjoyed taking off all the labels and making sure the bottles were clean. They helped to sort the bottles to size and then the build began.
“All the staff at the pre-school would like to thank all their parents, parents of the school and the local community for collecting so many bottles for them to build this fantastic igloo.”
