A HISTORIC market town recently celebrated the national Love Your Local Market campaign, bringing the community together for a second year. The campaign was established in 2012 and is led by the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA), which emphasises the importance of markets in a community. This is not only for retail purposes, but also as a social function by encouraging market towns to set up events over a two-week period in order to attract new market traders and to show communities the benefits of markets in their town. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
