LAUNCESTON author Marion Gavin has written a sequel to the book based on the life of her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel living in sheltered housing.

Last year 'Adventures of Barley Mo' was published, and recently 'They called him Oliver Francis' has been released.

The books raise money for a Welsh dog charity with which Marion has adopted a dog.

Marion's dream had long been to own each of the 'four kings'. Just as her latest book went to print, this was realised and now she has a family of four rescued hounds.

Black and tan Oliver, the hero of the latest book, joined the family when Barley Mo was eight. Oliver spent a short time in sheltered housing and the story follows him, his holidays in Cornwall and his move to Launceston. He is now 7 years old.
