A BUDE Rotary Club talk on life in theatre and on television became a unique fundraiser for Myeloma UK recently.

Selina Cadell, best known for her role as Sally Tishell in the television series Doc Martin, and her husband, National Theatre actor Michael Thomas, had been invited by the club to share a lifetime of memories performing on stage and screen.

More than 80 members and their guests attended the evening, which was organised by Rotarian Peter Yelland, and at the end of the night Bude Rotary Club presented Michael with a cheque for £800 to Myeloma UK.
