ANOPEN garden weekend was held at The Old Rectory, St Juliot, Boscastle, recently.
Owner and organiser Sally Searle explained that despite the rain, they managed to raise £750 towards St Juliot Church funds. They received a continuous flow of visitors from the local area and from further afield including tourists.
There were cream teas and cakes for sale, together with a demonstration throughout the weekend by Treknow Woodturning and Carving Club.
Renowned views from the site of Thomas Hardys seat, together with the view from the raised platform area were impressing to all who were visiting.
The Old Rectory was built in 1847 and is positioned in approximately three acres of grounds affording views over the countryside towards the coast and sea and is now run as a successful five star gold awarded bed and breakfast.
