A VISIT to the Dairy Crest creamery was the venue for a run by 17 Austin Sevens and their owners from the Cornwall Austin Seven Club with people travelling from as far as Helston, Falmouth, Callington and Camelford to take part. Assembling at Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Museum, the visitors posed for a group photograph, straddling a pair of cannon originally cast at Irons' Foundry Wadebridge. A wide range of Sevens, both saloons and open tourers, were present 'on parade', the oldest, a1927 Chummy tourer owned by Andrew Jarmin of Redruth. The youngest model was a 1938 'Big Seven' owned by NCA regular columnist Doug Castle, of Helston. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
