The aim of the funding is to encourage more people into higher education and to raise aspirations, with grants available for students on maintenance allowance and students studying at sixth forms in Cornwall.
Director of Higher Education at TCCG Dr Andrew Smart said: “This is an excellent way to support our local community and ensure that Higher Education is open to all in Cornwall, not just those that can afford it.
“We have a range of grants available from school bursaries to support for those on a low income.”
Last year 1,500 people graduated with The Cornwall College Group, that’s 25% of the graduates in Cornwall, making TCCG the second biggest provider of Higher Education in the county.
