SCORCHING temperatures saw a Ross business run out of ice-cream last Wednesday.

Parched shoppers who fancied an ice-cream in the record-breaking temperatures at Tudor Sweets were shocked to find they had run out.

"It was unbelievable," said Daniel Pearce of the High Street business. "I've never seen anything like it in the five years we have been here. We had queues of people lining up outside the door for our traditional hand scooped ice-cream."

Luckily it was just a temporary glitch as fresh supplies were delivered before the shop opened again on Thursday morning.
