DOCTORS AND NURSES: Staff at Tesco in Launceston dressed as doctors and nurses to raise funds for Tesco Charity of the Year, CLIC Sargent for children with cancer. A competition was held for members of the public to guess the number of sweets in the jar. The jar contained the average number of tablets that a child with cancer takes during the course of their 2-3 year treatment - a staggering 4,265. The winner was Mrs Kim Hatch with a guess of 4,200, she won the jar of sweets. Shelley Vanstone, Community Champion at the store said "I would like to express my thanks to the staff that dressed up on the day and to our generous customers for their continuing support - we raised £232 for Clic Sargent."
