WHEN Jacqueline Donahue opened her Launceston business, The Health and Beauty Clinic, twelve years ago, little did she realise that being a neighbour of the town's Tesco store would bring about its eventual demise.

Over the years Jacqueline has suffered a variety of serious problems, she says, because of the superstore — including her garden wall being knocked down on three occasions because of delivery lorries attempting to make manoeuvres within the nearby drive.

She said: "Often the lorries would try to reverse or even turn around in the narrow drive. My wall was either scraped or banged and knocked down three times!

"On each occasion, spread over a couple of years, I had to go to great lengths to get Tesco to acknowledge their responsibility."
