THE idea that Tesco, Chepstow should be expected to erect a boundary fence to prevent 'chancers' crossing the A48 road next to the traffic lights to access their supermarket site is clearly unreasonable.

Taking this logically one could expect fences to be erected anywhere a potentially dangerous road crossing might be attempted.

We already have sufficient fences alongside footpaths in this area.

This would set an unwelcome precedent.
