Kit and John Davis, founder trustees of the Harriet Davis Trust, can look back with real pride as on May 28 last week, 21 years on from opening Harriet's House to its first disabled visitors, they called in to meet the Beale family from Oxfordshire who were on holiday in Tenby for half-term.
Tania Beale, mum to Amana and Imogen, who are both disabled, said: "It's so lovely to be able to come on holiday to a house that really suits our needs and we really appreciate Kit and John's hard work in setting it up for families like ours to visit today."
Phil Belfield, president of Tenby Lions, was invited by Kit and John to meet the Beale family as the Lions have generously donated £500 towards the '£21,000 for the 21st Birthday' appeal by the trust to redecorate and refurbish the property.
"The Tenby Lions are really happy to be supporting this special Pembrokeshire charity," said Phil. "We are full of admiration for Kit and John and all that they have achieved for disabled children and their families."
