Deputy Mayor of Tenby and Tenby in Bloom chairman, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, will be hoping that everything in the garden looks rosy over the next few weeks as the famously floral resort gears up for a blooming busy season.

Launching this year's Tenby in Bloom competition this week, Sue has once again urged the people of the town to 'be proud of yourselves, and what the town can achieve' in a bid to ensure Tenby regains its Wales in Bloom crown.

Last year, Tenby won Silver Gilt for the fourth time in five years in the RHS Britain in Bloom competition, but surprisingly lost out to Usk in Wales in Bloom.

"It was disappointing, given that we were rated so highly in Britain in Bloom, but I'm sure we can gain those extra few points we need to regain the coveted gold award this year and make it a record-breaking 30th Wales in Bloom win for the town," said Sue

Asked what it would take to reclaim the title, Sue answered: "Everyone on board to help."
