A BRAVE young girl from Holsworthy had a sponsored hair cut in Amberellas hairdressers, on Friday, May 26, raising money for the charity ‘Families in Grief’.
Tegan Parry had her hair cut by the owner of Amberellas Alison Marshall. So far she has raised £260 for the charity ‘Families in Grief’ who support families and children who are having difficulties in coping with the loss of a loved one.
The charity means a lot to Tegan, her mother Stephanie Watson and their family, as they helped support them following the death of Stephanie’s brother and his family in 2012.
A fire trapped five family members inside a house, including Stephanie’s brother.
Following this incident the family required extra support, which they gained through Families in Grief.
Tegan raised an impressive amount for the charity and will also be donating her chopped locks to The Little Princess charity, who make wigs for children who have lost their hair following radio or chemotherapies.
