CAMELFORD YFC juniors tug of war team worked exceptionally hard and took third place at the National Tug of War final at Tenbury Wells on Saturday, August 4.

They lost against the champions, as they were beaten by Eardisley YFC — Herefordshire B in the semi-final, who then went on to win the NFYFC GENSB competition.

Camelford juniors coach Alfie Cornelius said: “We had a really good go and we’re really proud, it’s what we have been working for for years.”

Launceston men’s tug of war team also represented Cornwall at the national competition, taking joint fifth place.

A spokesperson for Cornwall YFC said: “Well done to both teams for representing our county and our area!”
