MEMBERS of the St Teath Christmas lighting team have been busy putting up the lights for the big Christmas switch-on event, due to take place on December 2 at 6pm.
The Christmas celebrations will start from 4pm in the village square, along with many festive market stalls and plenty of mulled wine and mince pies on offer to get everyone in the true festive spirit.
There will also be a grand lantern parade starting at around 5pm with all of the lanterns made by the St Teath Primary School children, which should be a spectacular sight.
The man himself, Father Christmas, will be in his grotto at the St Teath Vicarage from 4pm until 5.30pm, so come along and bring a wish list for Father Christmas.
During the evening, there will be traditional carols by members of the St Teath Church Choir.
A spokesman said: “This year the lighting committee have spent well over £2,000 on new lights for the village, with people very much looking forward to the switch-on event. Come along to St Teath for a great evening of festive fun and be the first to see the village lights for Christmas 2017.”
