HOLSWORTHY Town Council has agreed to support a number of projects with its share of the remaining town and parish funding.

The TAP (town and parish funding) is a joint scheme between between Devon County and Torridge District councils, which encourages parishes to work 'more closely together'.

Funding was made available to support projects in the area if councils showed they were 'in partnership' with each other.

The scheme is now in its last year and has seen Pyworthy and Holsworthy Hamlets parish councils and Holsworthy Town Council work together over the years, funding various projects.

Holsworthy Town Council agreed at its latest meeting to use its remaining funds towards: new Christmas lights, contribution to the Christmas lights switch-on event, park bench(es), skateboard park sign and youth centre building running costs.
