A NINE-year-old girl from Camelford has been presented with a Windows tablet in a competition run by Cornwall College and the Moor and Coastal Partnership Trust. The competition was launched alongside the trust's Raising Aspirations Day at the Royal Cornwall Showground, with the intention of encouraging the children to envisage their future careers. The event gave local primary school students the chance to find out about a wide range of career choices, with employers and educational providers on hand to talk to children and parents about possible paths to a chosen profession. The winner of the competition was Tamara Merson from Otterham Primary School. Her CV was chosen by an independent panel from Cornwall College. For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
