DAVIDSTOW will be again part of Perranzabuloe Rotary Club’s annual Moor to Sea Challenge, which will raise money for local children’s hospice, Little Harbour.

The challenge is a charity walk happening on Sunday, September 4, with three different routes for people to choose from.

There is the seven-mile route between Davidstow and Padstow, the nine-mile route between Jamaica Inn and Davidstow or the full route from Jamaica Inn to Boscastle.

The Rotary Club is looking for teams of three or four to take part or individuals can join in the walk and will be organised into groups on the day. Those getting involved should have an understanding of basic map reading.

There is no cost to enter the walk but those taking part are encouraged to collect sponsorship for Children’s Hospice South West or make a donation themselves.

Funds raised will be donated to Childrens Hospice South West’s Little Harbour, which supports children who sadly won’t live into adulthood due to life limiting or life threatening illnesses.

Mary Murfin, community fundraiser for CHSW, said: “We are delighted that the rotary club of Perranzabuloe has decided to support CHSW with their Cornish Moor to Sea Challenge 2016. It’s a great event featuring beautiful Cornish scenery along the way. I hope lots of people get involved with the walk and supporting CHSW in our special silver anniversary year.”
