AN OPEN day for local people to see what the new AgriBusiness Centre in Holsworthy is all about is taking place on Saturday, December 14.
The event, from 11am until 1pm, is an opportunity for local farmers, members of the public and anyone who is interested, to come along and see for themselves how the £6-million, 14-acre regeneration project is taking shape. It is a chance to ask questions and to tour the site.
Torridge District Councillor Barry Parsons has been involved in the project since the very beginning.
He said: "Four years in the making, the AgriBusiness Centre will ensure that Holsworthy remains a sustainable market town in the future.
"The economic implications for retaining a livestock market here are massive — it's a catalyst for the growth of other business sectors in the town and will create many more jobs and attract new businesses to the wider area."
