STAFF and students from Launceston College travelled to Bideford to complete in the town’s 10km race on a beautiful morning on Sunday, May 15.

The race followed the road to Instow and then returned to Bideford via the Tarka trail.

The first student back for Launceston College was George Hooper who completed the race in 42 mins 13 seconds. This fantastic time meant George finished 1st in his age category of U20 males.

Following on from George was Liam Downing, Josh Savage, Sam Stanley and Jago Watson.

Stephen Bridgman and Mr and Mrs Maywood also completed the race, with Bryan Maywood achieving a personal best of 53:58.

A college spokesperson said: “Everyone performed excellently and were a credit to the school.”
