THE Launceston District Guides recently went on a trip to Switzerland, where they had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities, whilst gaining a collection of new experiences.

The Guides stayed in Our Chalet, which is one of the world Guide centres, and took part in a variety of activities, including snow tubing, skiing, sledging, a barbeque in the snow, a hike to a local wood carvers, and a trip to a waterfall.

The Guides had a very enjoyable time on their trip, and were able to gain many wonderful new experiences, including taking part in activities alongside the Guides from America, who were also staying at the Chalet.

The District commissioner, Emma Boucher, has expressed thanks to everyone who has supported the Guides’ events, and donated money to the group over the last year. Altogether, an incredible total of £9,000 has been raised.
