TINTAGEL Surf Life Saving Club held their annual Boxing Day swim at Trebarwith last Wednesday.
Held in near perfect, calm conditions, club president Peter Savage blew his whistle sending the near 150-strong turnout run into the water, which was manned by lifeguards.
Although some stayed in longer than others, people were soon back to the changing rooms for a shower before heading into the clubhouse for mulled wine and mince pies.
Club chairman Les Freke said: “It’s a great fun event, which was well supported by club members, locals and holiday makers.”
The annual event started out as a fun event for surf life saving club members in the early days.
