MEMBERS of Bude social club held a sweepstake during the rugby 2015 Six Nations and World Cup and 2016 Six Nations tournaments to help raise money for Benny’s Big Journey Home — in support of three-year-old cancer sufferer Ben Bennett.

Each paid £1 to take part with the winner receiving £5 and the remaining cash went into the kitty. Everyone who won a sweepstake put the money back into the fund.

Recently a cheque for £700 was presented to Ben Bennett by main organiser Neal Cheeseborough in the presence of Ben’s family and supporters.

Neal expressed thanks to everyone who supported and also to the staff at Bude Social Club including Jim and Sylvia and also Phil Vickery who kindly donated a signed rugby ball.
