TEIGNMOUTH Surf Life Saving Club has become the first of its kind in the UK to become an approved Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre.

'We are exceptionally proud to be the first club to have registered and been approved and are now very excited to begin registering those who are interested in taking part,' said James Cassidy, the scheme coordinator for the club. <
